Payroll Administrator
Our client is the UK’s leading independent engineering, rail, IT and facilities services business with a deserved reputation for excellence. They offer integration from the outset of a project, from planning and design through the supply chain, to offsite manufacture, installation and maintenance.
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Job Time: Full time (37.5 hours) – some flexibility
Salary: £19,000 to £21,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus benefits
Role
The Group Payroll Administrator will work within a team to provide and deliver an effective payroll service; ensuring payments to 3,000 + employees and pensioners are made accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance, support and advice to employees on both payroll and expenses information ensuring legislative compliance on tax, NIC and other pay issues
- Work within a sub-team of 5 responsible for a weekly payroll of 600 staff, 2 monthly payrolls 600+ and expenses.
- Maintain accurate records for all staff on a variety of systems including Payroll, Time and Attendance & Expenses.
- Accurate processing of new starter and leaver paperwork
To be considered for this opportunity you will have;
- Previous payroll experience ideally within a construction environment but this is not essential
It would also be desirable for candidates to have;
- Experience running a monthly payroll OR a Payroll Qualification

They are able to offer a degree of flexibility in terms of working hours but this would be discussed at interview stage, however the working week is 37.5 hours each week.

The role is based 2 miles outside of Leeds city centre and benefits from free on-site parking and excellent travel links.
