The opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified accountant to join a Telecommunications business in central London as their Finance Manager with an immediate start.
Client Details
My client is a double-digit growth technology SME based in London. They provide end-to-end data and telecoms solutions and partner with some of the leading telecoms brands to deliver high quality solutions to their clients. With strong owner backing and a new COO the business is set to continue its strong growth pattern. As a result they are looking to bring on board a newly-qualified accountant into a Finance Manager position to report into the Finance Director.
Description
This role will work closely with the experienced Finance Director as well as gaining further exposure to senior management, including the COO and MD. The scope of the role is broad giving you a fantastic platform from which to learn and develop as you take the first step into industry.
The responsibilities of the Finance Manager position will be
-To ensure management are regularly supplied with the appropriate quality and quantity of financial and business data, including insightful and accurate commentary
-To report on a monthly basis to management, the actual results for the month and forecast information as defined by company financial timetable and requirements.
-To prepare statutory accounts for all companies and reconciliations to management accounts.
-To ensure that revenue recognition takes place at the appropriate time with a full recognition of the associated costs utilising the newly implemented system.
-To co-ordinate the setting of cost centre budgets and notify management in order to exercise adequate expense controls.
-To ensure that cash is managed in the best interests of the Company. Involved in the completion of a bi weekly cashflow forecast.
-To provide leadership to the Finance department through exhibiting the skills and attributes of a leader in the finance team, and manage one accounts assistant.
Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will be a newly-qualified accountant. You will have a strong technical understanding of accounting procedures and proficiency in excel is essential. You will also demonstrate a passion for working in an SME technology environment and building relationships across all levels of a business. Supervision experience and/or demonstrable success in developing junior staff is highly advantageous. You must be eligible to work in London on a permanent basis and available to start immediately.
Job Offer
The offer to the successful candidate will be between £55,000-£60,000 + benefits.
