FTSE 100 Consumer Brand based in Central London is looking to hire a high calibre head of Finance to manage their internal Finance Change programmes.
The purpose of the role will be to manage the identification of change opportunities and the successful delivery of change across the Finance group including the management of risk associated with the change as well as the impact on business as usual activities
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to drive the improvement and simplification of both existing controls and processes at the Shared Service Centre. Deliver efficiencies, ensuring process and control improvements are operating effectively, maximising system capability, minimising manual intervention/ processing and risk of error.
Ensure the smooth and efficient transfer of activity to the SSC - in line with agreed timescales and target FTE.
Ensure adequate capability, capacity, systems and infrastructure at the SSC to manage both business as usual processes as well as new work being transferred and mitigate the risks arising as a result of transfer. Enable this delivery through liaison with the SSC leadership team.
Deliver efficiencies in work transferred to SSC, ensure processes transferred are operating effectively, maximising system capability, minimising manual intervention/ processing and risk of error.
Document a clear RACI for all work transferred, being clear where ownership, responsibility and accountabilities lie. Ensure link remains with HO where required.
Bridge relationships between SSC and HO (both Finance and Commercial).
Develop with commercial/ finance customers, appropriate reporting/ insight to effectively manage both existing activity performed as well as budgets etc. being transferred and ensure processes are defined and RACI's developed to ensure effective collaborative working.
Identify areas of risk and control weakness within Finance - develop plan to review, deliver process enhancements and streamline activities to maximise system capabilities and ensure robust controls are established. In addition drive process efficiencies and standardisation.
Effective management of business risk and maintenance of the Group's control environment status.
