Director of Finance and Operations

Robertson Bell Finance is working with an international charity to recruit a Director of Finance and Operations to head the Finance department based in London. This charity is growing quickly and they are looking for someone with strategic vision to head up their team and help this organisation achieve its ambitious goals.

The Director of Finance and Operations will oversee the production of the statutory and management accounts but importantly will have a strategic mind-set. This organisation needs someone who can use financial expertise to direct decision making for the organisation. This role will involve oversight of management accounting and donor reporting, and will play an active role in developing business cases for funding bids and will oversee a team of two.

With strong reporting controls in place, this charity is in a strong position for growth and has plans in place to grow considerably over the next three years. For this reason, they are looking for a candidate who can play an active role in this growth by building capacity in the field and improving processes in the London office to ensure this organisation is operating at maximum efficiency. This role will involve occasional travel to sites across the globe.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and will have a good understanding of technical financial accounting. Either coming from practice or having strong commercial experience, the successful candidate will be able to lead and influence a team and be confident in delivering recommendations to the board.
