Assistant Financial Controller

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently recruiting an Assistant Financial Controller for a FTSE listed business based in Stoke on Trent.

This is a brilliant opportunity to have accountability for a number of projects within a larger finance team in a rapidly growing organisation.

The Assistant Financial Controller position is a newly created opportunity which will allow you to challenge and really influence the project cost and sourcing strategy and financial governance. You will also need to demonstrate your judgements, interpreting and presenting financial analysis in a persuasive format, providing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform and influence decisions.

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Financial Controller:

-Control of global project costs

-Financial analysis and reporting of costs against targets

-Undertake Financial evaluations of proposed / enforced project changes including sensitivity analysis

-Co - ordination & presentation of project business case

-Project interface with the Purchasing Team to develop material sourcing strategy and achievement of value for money

-Preparation, Financial justification and presentation of capital expenditure requirements

-Monthly financial reporting for Business Unit Management Team

My client are looking for a Qualified Accountant and you will have knowledge of accounting principles and management accounts processes. The successful candidate will be competent in Excel and SAP experience would be desirable.

The Assistant Financial Controller will possess strong attention to detail, be organised and be a key team player.
