Axon are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a Listed business based in the West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual.

As the Finance Business Partner you will manage the commercial finance activity to deliver major business partnering across commercial and financial analysis, business planning and regular reporting. Working with business management, directly with clients and Sales, you will be expected to drive business performance improvement across all the key metrics for the business area and assist with the design and maintenance of the balanced scorecard.

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform sound commercial analysis based upon key KPI’s in order to aid the business with commercial decision support.
  • Develop, monitor and review trends in performance to ensure the business continues to make the best commercial decisions.
  • Produce a suite of reports that will support the performance of the business and clearly explain the performance of the function.
  • Working with internal Stakeholders to drive profitable solutions and improvements to new and existing products and processes.
  • Maintain and develop key relationships with the business areas and the other parts of the business as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Annual Budget is produced.
  • Appropriate monthly tracking to actual and clear explanations of variances.
  • Work with the business areas to ensure that we understand all of the key drivers for the forecast and have robust tracking in place to control variances.
  • Production of budget, monthly forecast and variance to forecast when compared to the actual.
  • Not afraid to challenge the ’status quo’ across all areas of the business.
  • Understand and implement the needs requirements of the regulated entity and the focus and drive on clear, appropriate controls to support the business areas.
The ideal applicant will be a qualified ACA accountant with a strong commercial mind-set and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Salary is £35,000 - £50,000 plus a generous benefits package.
