The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join a FTSE 100 organisation in Milton Keynes. The business are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their organisation on a permanent basis. As Assistant Accountant you will receive a salary of between £26000 to £32000 per annum as well as full study support. As Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the preparation and analysis of monthly financial accounts
- Inter-company reporting including balance-sheet reconciliations, payment schedules and US Corporate reporting
- The company cashbook and forecasting
- Fixed asset register and depreciation
- Preparing and reporting of statistical and financial information
- Support the production of the statutory accounts, audits, tax and SOX process's
- Support transactional accounts
- CIS and tax reporting
- Journal entry
- Prepayment and Accruals
Your Profile
As Assistant Accountant you will be studying towards a higher financial qualification (CIMA/ACCA) and will be looking to develop your understanding. You must:
- Demonstrate good problem solving skills
- Have a strong background within accounting
- Have good Excel skills including pivot tables and V- lookups
- Have experience of working towards tight deadlines
Ideally you will have a background in Construction and using COINS however this isn't essential.
