Procurement Finance Manager – Copack

Salay: £45,000 - £50,000

 

Nomad Foods Europe is the market leading Branded frozen food company in Europe, encompassing Birdseye (UK & Ireland), Findus (Italy, France, Spain & Scandinavia) and Iglo (rest of Continental Europe).  Approximately 75% of Products are manufactured across a network of ten manufacturing sites with the remaining products produced by a network of 3rd party Copackers.

Nomad operates a centralised Supply Chain model with the Procurement team being based at Bedfont Lakes. The Procurement Finance team is fully embedded within the Procurement function, whilst at the same time being part of the wider Group Finance function.

This role is within the Procurement Finance team which is responsible for providing all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis, Decision Support and Business Partnering to the Procurement team with the aim of providing control and insight on Procurement performance. As well as being a key team member in these overall objectives, this role will have specific Category responsibilities.

Responsibilities

The key responsibility of the role is to provide accurate and timely reporting, planning and analysis of procurement performance, both for the Procurement team and also for the wider business (commercial country teams & Executive Leadership).  This will be across relevant product categories. One of the key aspects of the role is the ability to organise, manage and analyse large data sets.

Accountabilities

  • Budget, forecasting and month end reporting to all key stakeholders
  • Delivery of budget/forecasts, challenging the assumptions from the buyers and Heads of Category (HoC)
  • Ensure cost certainty to budget and forecast via risk and opportunities identification.
  • Own and support TPV and business reporting processes.
  • Work with procurement team to identify, verify and prioritise key procurement cost savings projects and initiatives.
  • Establish and agree a financial process across the countries and the factories to delivery of NPI savings projects
  • Deliver transparency on absolute cost movements year on year.
  • Manage cash and working capital impacts and scope new plans.
  • A key business owner for all procurement price / cost information and communication of trends to local country team
  • Coach and train the Procurement team on financial issues / requirements

Experience required

  • Experience of commercial decision support / business partnering
  • Advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Access
