Badenoch & Clark are working in partnership with an instantly recognisable brand based out of East Sussex to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant. Reporting into the Group Accountant, your position will be one that supports the wider finance team through the preparation, development and analysis of accounting information.
As such, you must have the prioritisation skills required to handle a busy workload and quickly process this to all relevant bodies.
Key Accountabilities
*Prepare and process journals, including month end journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations.
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations including debtors, prepayments, creditors, accruals, and fixed assets.
*Assisting with processing of utility related invoices and analysis thereon.
*Assist with monthly reconciliations of bank accounts.
*Assist with generation of routine daily/weekly/monthly management reports and all income statement analysis. Assist with the timely production of monthly management accounts for all branches.
*Support month end/period end close process and reporting pack production.
*Assisting with the provision of information for the annual audit process and any other external advisors.
*Assisting with the completion of year end management accounts.
*Assisting with the completion of year end statutory accounts.
*Assisting with the year end audit process.
Essentials
*Ideal candidate must be AAT part or fully qualified or actively studying CIMA/ACCA.
*Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
*Previous experience of working within a busy accounts environment
*Developed interpersonal communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the business
