Management Accountant

Newly created assignment for a capable and experienced Management Accountant within a professional SME within the Macclesfield area. This role is being recruited initially on a 6 month fixed term basis with a view to permanency thereafter.

You will support the FD in a fast paced and dynamic environment and enjoy a busy and varied workload with a high degree of visibility and commercial involvement.

You must be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and enjoy working in a cohesive smaller business where you will be extremely visible and interact with directors from day 1.

You will assist the FD in improving the detail and swiftness of management reporting and improve the MI. You will interact with a diverse audience of colleagues across all internal functions (sales, marketing, IT, ops) to improve the commercial reporting, variance analysis and narrative.
You must be confident interacting with external auditors.

The role will include:
Monthly management accounting.
Variance analysis and commentary.
Balance sheet (reconciliation / overview).
Routine KPI reporting and performance assessment coupled with ad hoc commercial reporting.
Communication with a host of colleagues across finance and ops teams within the diverse group.
