Elevation Senior Finance are currently recruiting for a permanent Part Time Financial Controller in West Yorkshire. My client is an SME business who operate within the leisure industry.
The business is willing to offer flexible hours to suit the job-holder across each calendar month (provided key deadlines are met), and with an expectation of an average of c20 hours worked per week.
Elevation Senior Finance would be keen to speak with candidates who have overall responsibility for the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts and supporting the Finance Director with annual budgets. You must also have the ability to manage a small fiance team. The key duties for the role would be:
*Production of monthly management accounts
*Production of month-end journal entries and monthly extended trial balances
*Preparation of month-end accruals, prepayments, deferred income, fixed asset and other month-end calculations, and completion of control account reconciliations
*Preparation of VAT and Gift Aid returns
*Preparation of year-end information for external accountants to draw up statutory accounts
*Monitoring of transactions and maintenance of financial control on the EPoS system
*Production of management information on income and costs
*Cashflow management
*Preparation of information for the annual budgeting process
*General accounting administration (eg banking, supplier terms, etc)
The key measures for this role would be:
*Submission of accurate tax returns to HMRC deadlines
*Timely payment of suppliers and collection against sales invoices
*Timely preparation of management information on request from the Finance Director
*Maintenance of cashflow forecasting information to ensure adequate liquidity at all times
*Clearance of reconciling items on control accounts on a timely basis
The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant but this is not a pre-requisite however you must possess the following attributes:

- Advanced excel and Sage Line 50 experience
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding communication capability
