Financial Accountant

This client will be instantly recognised within the Cambridge area. The brand itself covers many functions and my client is looking for a recently qualified individual to move into a Financial Accountant position.

My client, situated in Cambridge, is a large multi-national corporation that's leading within its industry. Due to its size and nature there is plenty of opportunity to grow within the business for an aspiring recently qualified individual.

Description

Working as a Financial Accountant within the central team the function of this role will be to:

- Assist the Group Financial Accountant in the performance of their duties including, the preparation of monthly /daily consolidated management accounts,

- Production of financial statements and in respect of treasury, taxation (and deferred tax), VAT budgeting and forecasting functions.

- This includes assisting in the preparation of year-end and interim PLC accounts under IFRS, preparation of the subsidiary accounts for audit under FRS 102 and liaison with the auditors.

You will be expected to take an active part in the development of the group's internal and external financial reporting by supporting, developing and promoting best practice and new initiatives. You will support the group financial accountant and other senior members of the finance team with GAAP developments.

Profile

This role will be ideal for a first time mover from a practice firm, who would be able to get exposure to many aspects of a classic large multinational industry. Equally able will be industry trained candidates with a technical background.
