Alexander Daniels are working with a West Midlands based business to recruit an interim Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be required to manage both a central accounting team including ledgers and financial controls whilst also working with the business on commercial decision making.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

    • Managing the month end closure and providing accurate information on business performance.
    • Managing the year end audit and producing all the statutory accounts.
    • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
    • Balance sheet management and review including producing balance sheet forecasts.
    • Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
    • Capital accounting and analysis.
    • Managing the ledgers.
    • Financial planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified accountant
  • Have a proven track record in Financial Controller roles who is both technically and commercial strong.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with the wider business.
  • Advanced Excel and experience of large financial systems are also required.
  • Will be available at short notice.
