Are you a qualified accountant with experience of staff management seeking the opportunity to progress to Financial Controller? Due to internal promotion our client is looking for an ambitious qualified accountant who is comfortable managing staff to take ownership of the department of 7 staff and manage all of the day to day financial controls and reporting.
You will manage all of the day to day activities of the team and prepare the monthly management accounts. They have doubled in size in the last 3 years and have contracts with blue chip businesses. They are a highly successful business with great potential for a strong Finance Manager or Management Accountant to progress to Financial Controller level.
The role has come about due to the existing Financial Controller being promoted and they are looking to bring in someone equally motivated and ambitious.
Key responsibilities
*Manage the day to day activities of the finance team, providing motivation and support for their training needs;
*Prepare monthly management accounts for Group and its subsidiaries
*Manage the nominal ledger, ensure timely and accurate postings and reconciliations;
*Review monthly departmental budget variance report for all offices;
*Produce sales to gross margin reports based on projects completed
*Assist the Financial Director with budgeting and cash flow forecasting;
*Assist in developing a reporting facility that confirms Finance at the centre of cost and efficiency management for the business;
Candidate profile:
*Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
*Establishes respectful working relationships with a wide range of people

*Ability to influence individuals to obtain the best outcome for the business
*Promote a culture of excellence, honesty and integrity
