Axon Resourcing is working in partnership with a leading Financial Services organisation to recruit a Investment Reporting Accountant.  My client is a global organisation with an acquisitive growth strategy, committed to adding long term sustainable stakeholder value whilst minimising risk. This is an exciting time to join a growing business which offer long term career development.  Key responsibilities in this role will include: 

  • Accounting: Deliver accurate accounting under USGAAP & IFRS for investments in line with agreed SLAs and deadlines. Resolve any queries relating to accounting for investments including any new asset classes to be invested.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce quality and timely submissions to support the delivery of USGAAP & IFRS reporting in line with accounting standards and group policy.
  • Investment Reporting: Provide timely and accurate investment reporting deliverables to internal stakeholders under a right-first time framework.
  • Controls: Ensure the function adheres to control standards, including RCSA and FRR documentation. Oversee implementation of effective robust controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, group policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconciliations: Manage team delivery of accurate and timely reconciliations to validate accounting submissions that meet internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit: Ensure internal and external audit requirements are met in relation to investment, including delivery of accurate reconciliations, documentation, evidence and commentary.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, FCA/PRA regulations in relation to investments. Also meet all business requirements in relation to compliance including annual completion of mandatory CBTs.
  • Oversight: oversee the outsourcer in relation property fund administration, with particular focus on USGAAP reporting.
  • Data Management: monitor and oversee successful delivery of general ledger and risk feed data from third party, ensuring the data is fit for purpose, in line with accounting standards and requirements of the business. Pro-actively challenge data integrity.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with either experience of reporting in a regulated environment or looking to move from a Big 4 / Top 10 Practice.  You may have worked in Audit, Corporate Finance, Advisory or Projects.  You will be technically strong with the ability to challenge and influence key stakeholders, deliver exceptional results and keen to progress your career within a large Financial Services organisation.
