My client, a privately owned, East Kent based Construction business, is recruiting a qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) Financial Controller to join them in this newly created position.
The company are experiencing success and consistent growth and are now in a position to employ their first Financial Controller.
The role will play a key role in supporting the Directors with their business strategy in addition to hands on management of all aspects of accounting for the business.
Responsibilities will include:
-Maintaining the accuracy of accounting records by the use of documented accounts procedures and controls Overseeing the finance department, payroll and reception on a day-to day basis • Weekly cash flow reporting and prediction of future trends • Monthly control account reconciliations • -Processing any transactional accounting requirements and managing cash
-Preparation of monthly management accounts
-Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees using Sage Payroll
-Providing data and working with the management team to assist with the review of company performances against budget
-Budget preparation and control
-Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
-Preparation and submission of PAYE returns, including P11d
You must be prepared to roll your sleeves up and control all bottom up, day to day accounts processes.
