A Commercial Analyst is required for one of our high profile contracts the role is exciting and challenging and will assist the Finance Director in supporting the sales and delivery teams attain their objectives through provision of accurate management information, support in costing and margin decisions.

Principle Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • To cost activity and generate pricing recommendations through use of cost books to enable decision making.
  • Ensure standard costs books are maintained with current information.
  • Capture and interrogate sales information to ascertain latest forecast following appropriate revenue recognition rules
  • To ensure a full understanding of any variances to forecast and strive towards minimisation of variances
  • Facilitate monthly sales meetings to be led by the Sales Director.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as requested.

Required Role-Specific Competencies / Experience / Educational Qualifications

  • Demonstrably Commercial experience, with familiarity of job costing and pricing.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel.

  • The ability to explain pricing and margin decisions to non-financial people.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
