A well-established investment group with a range of assets under management requires an ambitious, energetic and exceptional CFO to join their leadership team.
Working closely with the Founder, this position is an effective "right-hand person" who will not just lead the wider finance function but also act as a trusted advisor and will, to a large extent, manage the broader operations.
This private investment group has a wide portfolio of interests including a significant portfolio of businesses under private equity ownership and a real estate portfolio which is set for considerable capital investment and expansion.
In addition to managing all aspects of the group's finance requirements including tax and annual accounts responsibilities, this position will require a CFO with the expertise to manage the real estate portfolio effectively as the COO/MD, charged with growing the fund to an asset value in the £ hundreds of millions. This core requirement of the role will ideally need an individual who has previous property / real estate experience and the capability and the intellect to build a business of this nature to success.
The CFO will also work closely with the portfolio companies in an advisory capacity and developing management information to reporting back on performance. If an event e.g. an M&A transaction occurs, the CFO will be involved, often leading the process.
The nature of this position requires a CFO who has gained good operational finance experience ideally from various sectors but they must have relevant experience gained from within the property / real estate sector. Experience of leading on M&A / Corporate transactions is also preferred.
