Accountant

Salary range £29,000 - £35,000 per annum + excellent benefits

Are you a Qualified Accountant or are about to qualify and are looking for a new role, if so this could be the perfect opportunity. This successful organisation is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their accountancy and finance team, reporting to the Group Accountant.

Working for a leading organisation within its sector, this is a great opportunity to work for a forward thinking organisation, which will give the successful candidate exposure to different aspects of the business and work with both internal and external stakeholders. Their Head Quarters are based in Leyland and they are looking to recruit an individual who is self motivated, has strong communication skills and is confident to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

• Production of a full monthly management accounts pack, including actuals and forecasts and variance analysis
• Assist the Group Accountant and stakeholders in providing information to budget holders, guiding and advising.
• Present the monthly management accounts, with commentary to the Senior management team
• Production of financial statements & statutory accounts, working with both internal and external auditors
• Budget production and review
• Production of monthly reconciliations

It is essential to hold or be near completion of a professional accountancy qualification, have excellent IT & Excel skills and a knowledge of the Not for Profit/Housing sector would be highly desirable.
