Our Client is a leading and award winning consultancy based in Central London. Due to significant growth a new role has been created for a talented and driven analyst to join the finance function to provide commercial support to the FD and wider business. This will include in depth analysis across the company, setting budgets and forecasts, interpreting financial results as well as identifying opportunities and risks. There will be a focus on driving business performance through a management information strategy and assisting managers improving commercial awareness and business performance.
The role will involve significant contact with non-finance departments and senior members of the organisation. Credibility in the eyes of Directors is therefore key to the effectiveness of this post holder.
We will require you to have experience of:
*Working in a FP&A&A/Pricing environment, working to tight deadlines with the ability to prioritise
*Working across multiple businesses at all levels and with people from all backgrounds
*Working with non-finance people in a sales/operational environment
*Success in assisting sales/operational managers to drive performance
*Financial systems including strong Excel and Financial modelling skills
*You will preferably be a qualified accountant with 2 years PQE
Key Role Responsibilities will be:
*Provide Operational management with financial advice and analysis of
operation profitability and related to pricing and margin.
*To fully understand the impact of network transactions and processes on financial systems and to improve on these and communicate changes where necessary.
*Support Operations in its drive to maximise growth and profitability.
*To monitor performance and profitability of all outlets in the network.
*Produce detailed variance analysis and appropriate commentary to support variation from plan.
*Interpret sales and client requirements and translate into pricing assumptions in order to generate commercial viabilities.
*Ability to turn large volumes of data into valuable meaningful information
*Production of Budgets, Forecasts and Targets
*Production of periodic management information covering both financial information and key performance indicators.
*Monitor key metrics and produce MI reports accurately and within required timescales.
*Undertake post implementation review new business wins to determine accuracy of financial estimates and performance versus pro forma pricing.
*Monitoring of margin leakage.
*Ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures and that administration is completed in accordance with these procedures
*To establish and improve processes used in the branches for performance measurement.
*Model financial implications of changes in the network.
*Maintain awareness of the industry and competitors in order to maintain best practice and identify opportunities
*Maintain awareness of economic conditions and changes that may affect or influence the business.
*Ensure information is recorded on the company systems in accordance with required procedures.
*Encourage effective communication to facilitate sharing of best practice.
*Planning and Organising
*Adhere to month end timelines, ensuring quality is not compromised for speed.
*Early identification of risks to delivery to prescribed time lines
