Our strategy and new markets teams are responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the unregulated markets, including facilitation and delivery of robust contracts and ongoing contract management. By doing this, we continue to build a wide range of services for our customers.
As commercial manager you will lead on the provision of financial analysis and appraisal of potential investments and new business opportunities. You will also be involved in establishing, implementing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure business compliance with procurement rules and other corporate governance and policy.
You will assist the team to develop unregulated business plans and will undertake risk analysis and background research into commercial opportunities. When new business units are developed you will lead on developing tools to monitor and report on their profitability, including preparing cash flow projections, monitoring value creation and profitability of innovation programmes.
We are looking for an individual who is CIMA qualified or equivalent with experience in financial practice that includes audit and accounts. You will have in-depth knowledge of performance management techniques and KPIs as well as experience of business modelling and appraisal. It is vital that you have the ability to interpret and communicate on financial and operational performance.
We are a close-knit team who work to tight timescales and you will need to be able to fit in with our culture of high performance and customer service. Your financial knowledge and experience across a number of sectors will provide you with credibility within the team, and with external stakeholders and internal customers.
In addition, your professional influencing style will allow you to build successful working relationships across the organisation. You will present frequently to a wide range of stakeholders so need to be comfortable presenting financial and non-financial information in a concise and effective way.
