Financial Controller

We are currently working with a manufacturing business based in Preston who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their organisation and lead the financial operations across the site.

The company is well established and has a small finance function to support you in producing the both the financial and operational reports for the Board.

The Financial Controller role will include: -

• Produce meaningful reports across the business for capital expenditure, cash flow analysis and monitor the WIP
• Manage the timely and accurate reporting of the monthly and yearly accounts to the Board, providing supporting commentary on strategic growth
• Fully responsible for the P&L and balance sheet reporting
• Report KPI’s from across the site on overheads, labour and production variances
• Main point of contact for the auditors, HMRC and other external parties

The successful Financial Controller candidate will be experienced in the following: -

• Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of managing a team
• Knowledge of IFRS, HMRC and corporate responsibilities
• Experience of manufacturing/engineering and working with non-finance managers

The role will also involve managing a small finance team and report accurately the financial reports, providing controls and stringent processes across the site. Therefore we are looking for a leader who will demonstrate gravitas in the wider business and have a handle on all aspects of finance in different departments on site.
