Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a Local Authority based in East Anglia.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, this hybrid role combining both Financial and Management Accounting in a hands on environment that will allow you to enhance your skills for your career moving forward. The main responsibilities will include;
*Preparing the monthly management accounting packs, budgeting, forecasting and liaising with budget holders and other non-finance professionals
*Leading on the closure of statutory accounts
*To be able to conduct financial analysis to support reports and in order for the organisation to make key decisions moving forward.
*To be able to confidently deputise for the Head of Finance where necessary.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified with Local Government and management experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. You will be personable with excellent communication skills that has the ability to build rapport with budget holders in a warm engaging but often challenging manor. You must have the ability to prioritise work and to work to tight deadlines.
