Commercial Accountant

Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Commercial Accountant as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to work within the Commercial Finance Team and manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting for Sales and drive sales and margin growth across the UK business. You will be responsible for producing weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts, highlighting key trends that may impact on sales performance. Production of monthly trading review packs, providing insightful analysis for the commercial team and business unit management. Competitor analysis to provide insight into market developments that may impact performance. Support the Head of Commercial Finance on group consolidations of commercial performance and budget and forecast presentations to the Board. Developing and improving financial processes and analysis, and ad hoc project work and analysis when required.

The ideal candidate will be qualified with experience gained within financial planning and analysis or commercial finance. You should have a commercial understanding of sales and margin, and marketing concepts and principles, coupled with the ability to communicate complex financial data to both finance and non-finance colleagues. You must be a confident communicator with the desire to challenge and drive performance. Strong Excel skills and experience of an ERP system are essential for success in this role.
