Our client, an international PE backed multi-site business, is now looking to further strengthen its finance function with the recruitment of a new Group Financial Controller who will be reporting in to the CFO.     The business operates in 12 different countries and is technically highly complex both in terms of consolidation and management of cash and all tax matters.  The Group FC will have overall responsibility for the consolidated Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet and Board Reports, and will also be responsible for Tax, Treasury, FX and Statutory Accounts for the rapidly expanding Group.

Key duties

  • Development of an accurate and efficient consolidation process, to include all jurisdictions
  • Monthly technical consolidation of results from each country
  • Working with the auditors to deliver the statutory accounts for all companies
  • Working with tax advisors in all countries with returns to be accurate and within deadlines at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring the Group is compliant with all tax matters
  • Group VAT returns and any associated returns and audits
  • Treasury management for the Group working with the various country teams to ensure delivery of monthly consolidated cash flows
  • Ensuring cash is moved within countries in line with local taxation requirements
  • Develop FX strategy and processes for the newly formed Group
  • Overall owner of ensuring dual administration compliance on all banking and compliance with agreed administration policy for access to online banking platform
  • Management of overall transactional banking relationships

Profile

The successful candidate for this role will be hold a formal accounting qualification and will have a demonstrable track record in all key areas especially consolidation, statutory accounts, tax, treasury and FX management.   Being detail focussed whilst at the same time not getting lost in the detail will be important as is the ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
