Systems Accountant

Key accountabilities

 Work with the Business and Integration Analysts to ensure process and application designs provide an efficient end to end solution to meet business requirements

 Participate in and/or facilitate sessions to define application configuration requirements to support projects and change requests

 Prototype changes to finance applications as per requirements agreed with Business and Integration Analysts to support transformational change

 Develop templates to ensure application configuration requirements for transformational change can be fully identified and accurate estimates produced

 Develop activity lists to ensure application configuration is complete when executing requirements for transformational change

 Work with Finance SME's to determine accounting treatment to support continuous and transformational change

 Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of all approved changes

 Support, create and/or deliver related change management responsibilities that include training materials, communications to stakeholders and project team members as needed

 Work with the test lead or manager in obtaining release package acceptance including business readiness sign off

 Work with Project Managers to ensure all deliverables are on time and to standards or communicate issues or conflicts  Maintain working knowledge of supported versions for all finance applications and provide SME input to application upgrades

 Responsible for pro-active and regular communication with other areas of Finance and the business in relation to the provision of Finance Shared Services

Experience and personal qualities

 5-10 years' experience of application administration and configuration of finance applications in relation to Ledger, Treasury and Reconciliation systems

 Candidates with experience in SAP or Coda will be considered

 Qualified accountant

 Ability to recognise and drive continuous improvement opportunities

 Able to demonstrate proven experience at this level displaying a practical and pragmatic approach to solving real business problems

 Experience managing competing requirements with stakeholders

 Good understanding of Project Development Lifecycles

 A genuine passion for driving innovation in a global company

 Prior experience working in a shared service environment is preferred

 Strong negotiation and communication skills

 Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure, target and result driven, energetic and driven with a real hands on approach to the job
