Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting one of South Yorkshire employer of choice as they look to strengthen their payroll and reward team with the hire of a Senior Payroll and Benefits Advisor. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team, leading and mentoring a small but efficient department and acting as the Payroll expert for all aspects of payroll.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management of the payroll & reward team and will be the 'go to' team for all advice and guidance, for employees, on all aspects of payroll
- Drive the team performance to make it the most efficient and effective as possible
- Add value to the employee's experience of the payroll and benefits process.
- Calculate process and reconcile the full payroll
- Ensuring all compliance is adhered to at all times
- Establish process, approvals and audit controls
- Responsible for all internal and statutory reporting
- Support, develop and further test the payroll system and become a 'Super-user' to allowed continued improvements and efficiencies to be introduced
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
* Working towards or CIPP qualified or equivalent experience
* Expert knowledge of PAYE and benefits legislation e.g. PAE, salary sacrifice
* Experience of leading a team
* Ability to manage an end to end payroll process
* Demonstrable experience of delivering continuous improvement
* Excellent IT skills - Excel, Word, Payroll Systems
* Strong audit and compliance knowledge
