My client is a high growth, up and coming e-Commerce business based in Greater Manchester.
Due to rapid growth as the business continues its upward trajectory, a newly created Head of Commercial Finance position has arisen.

Working closely with the Finance Director, the role will take responsibility for all Commercial Finance in the business. This will include all Financial Planning and Analysis of current and future business performance for the Board in order to support both operational and strategic decision making.

The role will be dynamic due to the growth of the business but responsibilities will include:
• Analysis of trading and commercial performance, presented weekly to the Operating Board
• Take responsibility for leading all company Financial Planning processes, working closely with all areas of the business, including Marketing, Merchandising and Warehouse Operations, to optimise commercial performance
• Designing, developing & automating financial planning and analysis tools and processes to facilitate timelier and higher quality analysis, business planning and forecasting including best practice financial modelling.
• Lead automated data-led decision making processes to support improvements to trading, including around product pricing and marketing attribution
• Establish and drive company strategy on data & analytics, including management of key data, BI and analytics tools.
• Leading the annual Budget and 5 Year Plan process, and supporting major projects and initiatives.
• Provision of historical data and commentary on trend analysis.

Desirable qualities in candidates include:
• Qualified Accountant
• Sector experience in e-Commerce/online business
• Possess strong commercial instincts, with the ability to think both strategically whilst in and among the detail
• A proven of delivering value in an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to look at customer data (including customer behaviours) and work out how to harness the information effectively and react quickly.
• Ability to look at the key business drivers and not be held back by slow decision-making.
