Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

My client, a dynamic Financial services organisation who are going through an exciting growth period, are looking to develop their commercial finance team require a talented individual to take ownership for the consolidation, financial analysis and planning capability.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director key responsibilities will include

• Business Partner to Central Finance and the Head of Finance, acting as a key influencer and decision maker with in the Business 
• Constantly review and challenge the fundamentals of the business model, combining low level portfolio performance insight with a macro view of external factors impacting on the business
• Deliver the cost base within budget
• Own and develop the Stress case and ICAAP views for the business in conjunction with Risk partners as required
• Produce papers for EXCO, Board, Audit Committee, Investors and Regulators as required
• Produce the analysis to show opportunities for performance improvement through revenue, pricing, targeting,  performance, transactional behaviours
• Develop and share a deep understanding of what drives product performance at a portfolio and segment level
• Develop a best-in-class planning, reporting and analysis function:
• Develop and share a deep understanding of P&L contribution over the short, medium and long term and ensure target contribution levels align with overall company targets

Being a qualified accountant you the following attributes

• Significant professional experience, with strong leadership experience supervising junior staff operating multiple complex activities;
• Works well with business partners and builds relationships to obtain engagement and support in delivery of operational plans;
• Good understanding of the consumer led businesses
• Can own the numbers and create the story
• Can work both in the detail and at a strategic level
• Exhibits commercial acumen and a highly professional approach;
