Senior Property Accountant / Real Estate - Our Client are an award winning and highly reputable Property Management / Real Estate Company with an outstanding property portfolio across various sectors including Trophy / Iconic Assets. They are continuously improving processes and controls and have a team of entrepreneurial individuals who provide bespoke services to customers and reinforce the company's values and customer centric approach. They are currently looking to add an experienced Senior Property Accountant to the team.
The Role:
- Producing and closing client statements and monthly VAT reports.
- Ensuring the database balances with the general ledger each month and carry out account reconciliations as required.
- Reconciling the Direct Recovery accounts periodically.
- Reconciling the client bank accounts on a monthly basis.
- Attending quarterly service charge accounting meetings with the Building team to review online accounts and assist with enquires.
- Providing general onsite accounting support to the building team.
- Overseeing service charge accounting systems and the integrity of data posted.
Coordinating the production of the annual service charge budgets. - Organising and attending budget draft meetings and amending / revising figures as necessary.
- Ensuring budgets are issued prior to the new service charge year.
Producing year end accounts and issuing service charge packs. - Providing guidance on procedures to new members of the team.
- Contributing recommendations and constructive feedback to improve procedures and practice within the department.
- Supporting Senior Managers with the compilation of reports as required.
The Person MUST have previous property accounting experience to include Cash Management and Treasury, and Service Charge Accounting will be beneficial. It is desirable if the candidate holds an accounting qualification or is studying towards one such as ACA, ACCA, AAT, CIMA and is a self-starter with experience using Property Management Systems such as QUBE, YARDI, HORIZON, TRAMPS. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a wide range of experience in addition to Property Accounting to join a leading company and gain experience accounting for high value / prestige assets.
