Elevation Accountancy & Finance currently have an exciting and rare opportunity for a progressive and dynamic newly qualified Company Accountant for a well-established and successful PLC business in Sheffield. They have an extensive client portfolio which puts them in the position of being a strong market leader in their field.

The business operates out of several locations across the UK and their head office location in Sheffield boasts an impressive and prestigious setting.

As Company Accountant you will be reporting straight into the Financial Controller and this will be a varied 360 role encompassing both the provision of financial and commercial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

-Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
-Preparation of all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
-Preparation and production of the statutory accounts, as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the current legislation
-To respond to queries regarding statutory accounts
-Assist in the preparation of budgets
-Preparation of monthly and any ad-hoc forecasts
-Work with the auditors in the preparation of the subsidiary Financial Statements
-Preparation of returns for Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS and other relevant taxes
-Keep up to date with and ensure all relevant regulations/legislation is complied with
-Preparation of development cost accounts in respect of joint venture agreements
-Assistance in the review of legal documentation and the implementation and compliance of any provision within agreements

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:

- Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA OR ACA
- High level of IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage changing workload
- Good technical knowledge of IFRS
- Good knowledge of corporate taxation and indirect taxes
- Contract accounting experience
