Group Financial Controller

Partner Financial are currently working with a PE backed media business who operate throughout the UK and Internationally. Currently undergoing a period of transformation, they are looking to achieve strong market growth both locally and internationally, whilst also looking to grow through acquisition.

In order to compliment the strategic objectives, they are looking to recruit a Group Controller to work closely with the FD. This is a business critical role, requiring the successful candidate to deliver operational excellence across finance. Key responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly forecasts for all divisions within the Group, partnering closely with department heads both locally and internationally;
• Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts for the UK business prior to Group submission;
• Reviewing and consolidating monthly management accounts for the International business, prior to Group submission;
• Managing working capital for the Group;
• Supporting the business to achieve and exceed strategic goals by ensuring maximisation of gross margin and improving cashflow;
• Providing key stakeholders with information regarding sales updates, variance analysis and sensitivity analysis;
• Managing, appraising and upskilling the finance team to ensure business and personal objectives are met and exceeded;
• Developing appropriate financial controls and instilling a culture of best in practice;
• Co-ordinating and managing the audit process.

The ideal candidate will be:

• ACA qualified from a top 10 Accountancy Firm;
• The desire to create a culture that encourages continuous process improvement;
• Strong technical skills and up to date knowledge of IFRS, with a commercial mindset;
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present to the Executive Team;
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual that works smart and delivers fast.
