Your new company

My client is a Private Family Office based in exquisite offices in the heart of Mayfair. The organisation provides high level financial, commercial and operational services for members of a high net worth family. This ranges from accountancy, taxation, legal, treasury, insurance, cash management as well as operational and logistical services. The parent company sits in the USA with additional offices globally.

Your new role

The role as Senior Accountant is responsible for providing high level financial services to a collection of high net worth individuals. The core of this role is the provision of accounting, tax and cash management function of the specific set of the family members designated to you.

In this function you will be involved with managing investments and holdings in a wide range of entities, ranging from offshore companies, partnerships, LLP's, sole trader, trusts and charities. Key to this role is variety from the entities you will be operating with to the situations that you will be presented.

As the Senior Accountant you will report directly into the Head of Finance and form part of the senior leadership team which also includes the Managing Director. You will also have your own dedicated bookkeeper who is responsible for working on the family members you are responsible for.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an ACA with 1 to 4 years PQE who has trained in a small to medium sized accountancy practice and have a strong academic background. As a technical expert you will have experience of account's preparation, in terms of building accountants from the ground up. Along with this you will have Audit experience and solid understanding of FRS 102. You will have experience of tax in practice, specifically around personal, entity tax and VAT as well as exposure to payroll. You will have a commercial mind-set and be committed to adding on going value to this organisation.

As an individual you will demonstrate initiative. You will have excellent problem solving skills having demonstrated times where you have had to work outside of the box with situations that are unfamiliar. Attention to detail will be of great importance to you and something you take a strong pride in.

You're ambition and drive to develop as an accounting professional will be strong. You will be keen to learn new technical skills and knowledge.
