Finance Director

Farrer barnes are working with a large NFP  to recruit a new Director of Finance to play a strategic role and lead,

develop and manage a professional financial and accounting services. This is a new role that has been developed in order to streamline all financial aspects of the organisation and drive forward transition management. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a passionate and experience accountant open to a fresh challenge.
 

The Role

 
• To lead, develop and manage a professional financial and accounting service.

• To be accountable for the full range of financial and accounting procedures and practice to ensure that they are followed to the highest standard.

• To be a key member of Senior Management, actively participating in the Finance and Assets Committee.

• To develop appropriate budgets for the Boards of Finance

• To support the Board and financial officers of ensure proper management, control and reporting of their financial affairs.

 
Key Requirements

 
• A qualified member of a recognised accountancy professional body.

• Significant management experience of all finance functions.

• Ability to think strategically and deliver operational excellence.

• Ability to communicate financial terms to non-financial specialists and explain complex financial

concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Able to form and maintain relationships both internally and in partnership with many stakeholders.

• An effective team player, who values collaboration and working with others.

• Knowledge of charitable accounting regulations (SORPs).
