Financial Accounting Manager

My client, well established in their field are looking to recruit a strong Financial Controller to join their high performing finance team. Based centrally in London, with a number of complex projects in the pipeline this opportunity is CV enhancing with great development opportunities.

The Financial Accountant will report directly into the Head of Finance, will be given full autonomy of the reporting function and manage circa 6 finance officers.
Responsibilities include;
- Leading on the production of the financial statements
- Preparation of the group's commercial/ charity entities annual statements
- Have close contact with the departmental budget holders and senior management teams to provide financial support and aid in the consolidation of the long-term financial plans
- Keeping updated with the current accounting standards to ensure continuous best practice
- Lead on the monthly/ quarterly accounts closure processes

The successful candidate will be a technically strong qualified chartered accountant (CCAB) with a well-established understanding of current accounting standards. You will have proven experience of leading on the financial reporting and annual closedown of accounts. Entering this role with a business partnering approach, you must be a strong communicator with demonstrable exposure of liaising with finance and non- finance staff, including be a key point of contact for the external auditors.
