Axon Moore is working exclusively on behalf of a privately owned manufacturing, trading and e-commerce business as it looks to appoint a FP&A Manager to act as the analytical heart of the company; providing commercial insight and problem solving capacity, whilst supporting business decision making.

Currently turning over c.£70m, the company has grown significantly in recent years, with a dramatic increase in profitability. It has become one of the UK’s largest manufacturers in its market with several well-known brands and significant growth in its e-commerce offering.

As the business enters an exciting period of change following the recent appointment of the Finance Director, we are looking strengthen the finance team with the appointment of a driven and commercially minded accountant with a track record of delivering change and identifying opportunities to add value.

Reporting directly into the Finance Director, the role would be responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining KPI’s and analyses in all areas of the business
- Preparing the monthly financial board pack including balance sheet and cash flow model updates
- Working with the finance team to monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and explaining variances
- Managing the annual budgeting process across the company
- Managing the preparation and maintenance of interim financial forecasts
- Assisting in the design and implementation of business intelligence tools and dashboard reports
- Developing financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Assisting in financial process improvement projects
- Supporting the executive team and departmental heads with in-depth analysis
- Supporting the central finance team in general accounting matters as needed
- Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as required

The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills, commercial instincts and a proven track record of stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.
