A specialist hospital with a reputation for innovation, the Trust provides a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal (bone, joint and tissue) surgical, medical and rehabilitation services; locally, regionally and nationally.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting, the post holder will be required to:

Supporting the production of robust costing information for dissemination to key stakeholders and close involvement with engaging these stakeholders to act on information provided to make decisions to improve performance. This will involve working closely with other Trust staff to analyse key performance and develop systems to support the production of robust costing information for internal reporting.

Assist with the annual planning cycle, including assisting with collation and reporting of robust planning information for internal use and for completing external submissions in line with guidance and organisational requirements. Completion of key financial management information within external monthly returns to NHSI and ad hoc reporting as required. This will involve working closely with the Financial Management and Financial Accounting teams.

The successful candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant or part qualified accountant demonstrating a commitment to achieve full qualification and continuing professional development.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines, representing the Trust across a range of external organisations presenting a professional, collaborative and constructive manner designed to enhance the flow and understanding of relevant information.
