Financial Controller

Hudson Executive are delighted to be supporting our Real Estate PE Fund Manager client in hiring a Financial Controller to oversee all financial management and accounting for a large complex group of companies, including overseas subsidiaries.

Having been operational for over 20 years, the firm has enjoyed significant and sustained growth over this period. They have cultivated a reputation for identifying trends and opportunities , cutting edge development capability and a strong active management of its portfolio of property through a high calibre, focused property investment and development team.

Following the international relocation of the current incumbent, our client are seeking to recruit a high calibre financial controller to assume day to day management for all financial and accounting matters across the business. The broad and all encompassing remit will span:

• Budgeting, cash forecasting and treasury management
• Responsible for and taking a proactive approach to reporting, system and process improvement
• Supervising the preparation of quarterly consolidated management accounts, and the financial analysis and management commentary of the quarterly consolidated management accounts.
• Supervising the preparation of the UK group and individual company statutory accounts
• Being responsible for liaison with the auditors and tax advisors, Deloitte.
• Supervising the preparation of UK corporation tax returns, non-resident landlord returns, transfer pricing calculations and other ad hoc tax matters
• FCA reporting
• Managing the relationship with outsourced payroll and pension providers
• General financial administration, e.g. cheque and bank transfer signings and invoice approval.
• Supervising company secretarial matters
• Other adhoc duties

Reporting to the FD and management committee (including chairman & CEO) this high profile role will also assume leadership responsibility for a team of 2.

The successful candidate will be ACA qualified ( or equivalent) with post qualified experience gained within industry. Your experience would have been cultivated against the backdrop of a complex corporate structure where your broad remit will have spanned financial / management reporting and general oversight of the accounting function.
