Gross Margin Accountant

My client is recruiting for a Gross Margin Accountant for an excellent SME based in Warwickshire. The successful applicant will have gross margin experience and actively studying towards their ACCA/CIMA qualification. You will be from the energy industry looking for your next role where you can progress within. This requires a proactive, ambitious individual who is keen on working to best practices and always striving for more.

You will provide information with supporting documentation adhering to approved Gross Margin processes. You will be responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in a timely manner to identify risks and variances to raise with the Gross Margin Accountant and provide input into financial reporting commentary. You will also be responsible for the review and challenge of financial performance, information and processes and to enhance and develop processes to meet business change requirements.
As the Gross Margin Accountant you will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills as you will need to develop credible and professional working relationships with those within and external to Finance.

Skills and experience:
To be successful, you must be/have the following:

• Newly qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification, or the ability to demonstrate suitable experience within management accounting
• Strong reporting and analytical skills
• Good communication skills and an active team player
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to influence others at different levels of the organisation
• Results oriented to feed the month end and year end accounting process
• Active contributor to cross functional teams and the ability to build relationships
• Strong technical skills, ideally with SAP Excel and Access experience
