Regional Accountant

My client an established FMCG business based in Hereford are looking to recruit for a Regional Accountant to work closely with their Financial Controller and other Divisional Managers to maximise the commercial advantages available across the with the aim of effectively growing sales and enhance overall profitability. Produce, manage, review and interpret accounts and management information for the branches, ensuring all deadlines are effectively met.

Duties include:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts for each branch ensuring accuracy and adherence to specified deadlines 
- Collation of annual budget for each branch in cooperation with local management 
- Preparation of Weekly Estimate for each branch 
- Ensure all sales and purchases are recorded accurately and daily stock reports are produced; checked and corrected 
- Preparation of year end accounts for each branch ensuring accuracy and adherence to specified deadlines 
- Oversee the Administration Team to ensure:

  • duties are delivered in a professional manner
  • accounting deadlines and objectives, particularly with regard to Month/Year End are met
  • adequate control procedures exist at all times
  • reporting of accounting information is timely and accurate
  • debtors and creditors ledgers and bank accounts are monitored, ensuring control in order to protect the Company's assets
  • Ensure cash is handled appropriately and securely

- Exploration of opportunities for expansion of the business in the markets that the Branches operate 
- Provision of local financial and commercial advice to the branch management teams to enable them to run the locations appropriately and efficiently

This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive ambitious and driven business. You will be Qualified or QBE with a minimum of 5 years accounting experience. Multi-site experience would be an advantage, but by no means essential.
