I'm currently supporting a growing £3million T/O technology business in the York area with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to assist the Finance Director with reconciliation and preparation of financial reporting, and supporting the Management team. Key Accountabilities:
- Assists with and oversee processing of financial data, information and reports.
- Assist the Finance Director with month end process through to completion of Trial Balance, monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
- Assist with year-end process and production of Statutory Accounts, and liaise with accountants.
- Resolve and report where required, any discrepancies
- Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
- Ensure submission of statutory returns including VAT, P60's, P11D's.
- Support Management team with queries, training and reporting.
- Ad hoc projects
- Answers question and provide assistance to colleagues, customers, and clients as needed
- Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers.
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
- Adhere to the company's organisation's financial policies and procedures
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as an Management Accountant/Finance Manager
- QBE or Fully Qualified
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with financial regulations,
- Understanding of data privacy standards
- Knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliability and strong work ethics
- Ability to solve problems, attention to detail & organisational skills
- Customer service skills
