The role as a European accountant within this multi national shared service centre will be responsible for Inter company accounting/transactions for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting under USGAAP, Fixed asset accounting, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, assigns transaction codes, ledger entries, journal entries,sales statements,analyze and verifies inconsistencies and recommends and implements solutions to achieve a smooth flow of information is achieved. Updates and maintains month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing schedules,performs balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounting and variance analysis versus budget comparisons. Process pre payments and accruals working in a number of ad hoc projects as required.

The person will be a graduate finance professional perhaps finalist ACCA/CIMA or recognised accounting qualification with at least 3 years previous experience in a similar role. Ideally with a large US multi site corporate background or a shared service centre background. Strong communication and presentation skills comfortable business partnering throughout the group, fluent written and spoken German skills essential.
SAP and Excel experience useful, strong analytical and problem solving skills, managing a small team of junior accountants to achieve goals and targets. Experience in process and project management useful
