Graduate Accountant

A global business in Rotherham are recruiting a Graduate Accountant to join their expanding finance team. Our client is one of the area's leading businesses and they are offering the opportunity for someone to gain some valuable hands-on experience. The successful applicant will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be trained on the following:

*Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
*Assisting in the reconciliation and maintenance of the Balance Sheet
Fixed Asset register and accruals and prepayments
Debtor and Creditor control accounts
*Assisting in the performance analysis and evaluation of the monthly management accounts results
*Assisting in the preparation of the year-end financial accounts
*Providing ad-hoc reports
*Communicating with management at all levels, to ensure that financial performance is effectively explained, controlled and implemented.

The ideal candidate will be an Accounting and Finance graduate (2:1 or above) or AAT qualified. Desirable candidates will possess excellent IT skills and be comfortable using Microsoft Excel. Candidates who are familiar with v look-ups and pivot tables will be very well suited to the role.
