Assistant Accountant

Due to retirement this varied role has arisen within this SME organisation based in Cheshire. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a team of 4 you key duties will include:

Assisting with the management accounts
Sales order processing and billing
Credit control
Fixed Assets
VAT returns
Assisting with purchase ledger
Staff expense claims processing
Accruals & Prepayments
Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
Preparation and posting of journals
Assisting CFO and Financial Controller with ad-hoc finance projects

The successful candidate will be from an SME environment and be seeking a role that is very hands on and gives them exposure to all aspects of the day to day accounting.
Knowledge of Sage Line 50 is beneficial. Minimum AAT qualified and ideally studying towards your CIMA qualification
