This rapidly expanding listed drug discovery business is seeking a qualified Tax Manager to join their Cambridge-based finance team. Reporting to the Group FC this role will manage compliance and help shape the UK tax strategy of this US-listed organisation.
Duties
• Own the compliance for the Group's corporation tax returns
• Preparation of the Group's R&D tax claim
• Work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance group on tax project work
• Own the quarterly provision calculations for the Group's interim reporting
• Develop, evolve and operate the relevant Sarbanes-Oxley tax controls
• Take responsibilities for the audit of tax, co-ordinating with internal and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate testing
• Review upcoming changes in legislation to help advise the Group on its decision-making
• Various one off project work, including reviewing existing processes and suggesting improvements where possible
You will be a qualified tax professional (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CTA) with significant experience in UK corporation tax. Knowledge of SOX. Progressive tax compliance experience in a public accounting firm and/or private industry tax compliance department
