Management Accountant

Our client is a leading consumer oriented business that is looking for a ''hands on'', commercially focused accountant to join the team.

This role is a mix of Management and Financial accounting and will suit a Management Accountant with at least 4 years' experience in retail or FMCG. Essential elements of the role involve strong management accounts and business partnering experience, but also heavy involvement in the fiscal close process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of the monthly management accounts
• Providing assistance on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Working closely with a range of stakeholders including store managers, departmental team leaders and the US Global accounting team
• Being responsible for the improvement of financial controls, processes and accounting standards across the business
• Taking significant responsibility in the year-end statutory accounting production

The successful candidate will be finalist/newly qualified accountant, comfortable working in a small and busy team, minimum 4 years' experience working in retail/FMCG, strong Excel skills.
