The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a private equity backed Media start-up, for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Finance. This is an exceptional role within a business based in central London that has just received funding, before entering its fourth year of rapid development. You will be working closely with the CFO, Managing Director and PE house in evolving the business and providing insightful commercial intelligence. Although initially a 3 month contract this is a temp-to-perm opportunity that will provide the opportunity to carve out your own team and put a personal stamp on the organisation.
The Role
This dynamic role will allow you to be involved as a finance project leader when liaising closely with sales and marketing teams within the business. You will have the opportunity to explore strategic changes to the business and model a platform on which the three-year growth plan initiative can be based and presented to the stakeholders. You will also champion multiple scenario-based business models and address the effects of initiatives on revenues, profitability and cash-flows. Moreover you will lead the re-engineering of pricing and product propositions within the market whilst introducing KPI’s in order to support and initiate further organisational growth. Noteworthy is that modelling experience with businesses dealing with IP and/or media production will be particularly important.
The Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience within Private Equity / VC’s (preferred)
- Experience within Media / Broadcasting / Production (preferred)
- Experience of a start-up atmosphere
- Ability to engage, lead and motivate
- Demonstrable commercial acumen
