Due to some internal changes within this international Plc, an opportunity has arisen for an inventory accountant to join the team. Reporting to the divisional FC as part of the group central reporting team, the Inventory accountant will be tasked with providing financial accounting and control for their production facility plus providing oversight on inventory across all UK business units.
Duties in the role will include:
-Accounting & reporting of periodic production costs
-Accounting for associated overheads and ancillary cost centres.
-Accounting & control over upstream profit reallocation
-Period end reviews with Commercial Finance
-Accurate accounting of stock
-Integrity of Production Management Systems (PMS)
-Responsible for month end control file
-Balance Sheet reconciliations
-Working Capital (Stock) management & reporting
-Completion of quarterly FCF (Inventory)
-Provide inventory oversight & guidance to wider business
As the ideal candidate for this role you will hold a recognised accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA and preferably have an up to date knowledge of IFRS. You will be required to communicate with people across all levels of the business, so the ability to do this effectively and adjust your style accordingly is essential in order to influence the desired outcome. Experience of reporting and control within a multisite business would be highly beneficial as would supporting operational business units
