A Manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester are seeking a Head of Management Accounts for a 6 month period.
Currently mid-way through a transformation programme, this large international manufacturer are seeking a seasoned interim to step into a Finance deportment. This role will involve to steering and leading an existing team through a time of exciting change and organisation restructure review. This business has significantly increased its global footprint and is continuing to dominate its niche sector. The current strategic review is founded on a commitment to continue an active growth plan both organically and through further acquisition. This interim post is paying between £350 - £400 per day.
Role and responsibilities:
- The day to day management of a team of 5 Management Accountants
- Preparation and review of the monthly consolidated P&L and balance sheet, providing commentary against budget/ reforecast and prior year
- Preparation of Management Pack, Board Pack and Commentary
- Ownership and maintenance of the financial reporting systems and procedures
- Working with the necessary stakeholders to provide improved reporting to senior management
- Developing the team to provide enhanced analysis and accuracy of reporting
- Ownership, control & preparation of the budget and reforecast using online Adaptive Planning system
The successful candidate will be:
- Fully qualified accountant, either CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or overseas equivalent)
- Must have experience of operating within a Manufacturing business
- A previous Head of Finance or Financial Controller of a FTSE large privately owned business
- Ability to liaise with and report to senior management in a timely and accurate manner
- Strong work ethic and a high degree of self-motivation
- Be available at short notice
