Our client, a leading international Consumer business based in West London is looking for a Credit Manager. With a group turnover in excess of £100 million and a strong client portfolio, the group has plans to double its turnover over the next two years, so this is a crucial appointment at a significant point in the company’s growth cycle.
Reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller, you will be working closely with the Group Financial Controller and the Country Financial Controllers to ensure good reporting and control over treasury, cash and borrowing, and accounts receivables. The role will also incorporate elements of month end accounting, reporting and reconciliation of the UK and Group invoice financing facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Following up and chasing of global overdue receivables in coordination with the Accounts Directors
- Scheduling regular bi-monthly meetings to update on overdue position
- Producing the monthly review of the global aged debt report and making recommendations to the Financial Controllers
- Ensuring the posting of cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner, including matching
- Preparing the twice monthly treasury forecast for the UK
- Ensuring good credit control procedures and practices including control and coordination of approval of credit notes
- Processing regular invoice factoring runs including completing month end finance reconciliations for submission to the bank
- Producing daily reports of the group bank and borrowings
- Ensuring credit limits are in place with all customers across the group and any breaches are flagged to the Financial Controllers
- Ensuring any unmatched or unallocated funds are investigates and followed up promptly
- Leading the automation process improvement around accounts receivable and the cash receipts process
This role requires experience within an International business. You will have an exceptional level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail and be able to work effectively with others in a matrix environment. The ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
